Biagio Mazzotta appointed vice president of the Sea Federation

With this position Mazzotta will be nominated by the Maritime Federation for the vice-presidency of Enmc – European Network of Maritime Clusters on December 10th

The Board of Directors of the Federation of the Italian maritime system ( Federation of the Sea) , chaired by Mario Mattioli, met on 28 November 2024, via video conference,

And appointed Biagio Mazzotta, president of Fincantieri and Assonave, as councilor by co-optation, pursuant to art. 10, paragraph 4 of the Statute, and, on the proposal of President Mattioli, vice president of the Sea Federation, (art.14 of the Statute).

With this role – explains the Maritime Federation – the president of Assonave will be nominated by the Maritime Federation for the vice-presidency of Enmc – European Network of Maritime Clusters, which will hold its elective Assembly on 10 December.

Furthermore, Biagio Mazzotta was appointed president of the “Inclusion, diversity, gender equality” Committee which from today will change its name to “Environment, Society and Governance (ESG – Environmental, Social and Governance).

After thanking the Council of the Sea Federation for welcoming him into its team, Biagio Mazzotta stated that he is aware of the importance of the work carried out in recent years by the Sea Federation, and that he will be happy to contribute to carrying forward the mission of the cluster Italian maritime sector to give a further boost to the development of the blue economy for the benefit of the entire country system.
