CMA CGM applies new peak season surcharge 15 September

French ocean carrier CMA CGM has notified its customers of the implementation of a peak season surcharge (PSS) from East Africa, South Africa and Indian Ocean to Europe.

Effective from 15 September 2024 (based on the loading date) and until further notice, CMA CGM’s surcharge will apply to all cargo originating from East Africa, South Africa and the Indian Ocean, destined for North Europe (including the Baltic and Scandinavia), United Kingdom, West and East Mediterranean, Adriatic, Morocco, North Africa and Black Sea.

The PSS amount is set at US$400 per container.

Origin range: From East Africa, South Africa & Indian Ocean

Destination range: To North Europe (including Baltic & Scandinavia), UK, West Mediterranean, East Mediterranean, Adriatic, Morocco, North Africa & Black Sea

Cargo: All

Quantum: USD 400 per container
