December2st : A new line between of Trieste and port of Damietta

Samer & Co. has formalized the departure of the DFDS maritime line which will have a weekly frequency with a transit time of 68 hours and 3,200 linear meters of hold

On December 2nd, the new motorway of the sea will set sail from the port of Trieste, connecting the port in the North Adriatic with the port of Damietta in Egypt. according to Shipping Italy

A commercial presentation of the new line operated by DFDS and distributed by the maritime agent and port terminal Samer&Co.  

Shipping  Italy informs that the connection will initially be weekly and will become bi-weekly from the middle of next year; the transit time of the sea route is 68 hours.

Regarding the vessel used, it will be a RO – RO with 3,214 linear meters of garage (200 trailers) and will be able to travel at a maximum speed of 21.5 knots. Semi-trailers, trucks, containers up to 45 feet, tank containers, swap bodies, project cargo and dangerous goods (excluding IMO classes 1, 6.2 and 7) can be loaded in the hold.

Through the port of Trieste, the Danish group DFDS and other operators are able to guarantee shippers and receivers a large inter-modal network to and from Central and Eastern Europe with around 200 trains per week.
