Evrima the longest cruise liner in the fleet
The longest cruise liner in the fleet will be joined by the 623-foot Evrima and the 790-foot Ilma, which were launched in 2022 and 2023, respectively. The esteemed luxury travel brand certainly believes that size matters and is getting bigger and better with an unmatched hotel-turned-cruise experience conceived by Chapi Chapo Design, AD Associates, and DPA.has officially taken delivery of its third and latest luxury superyacht: Luminara.

Luminara, from the Latin “light”, measures 242 meters in length and is designed to accommodate up to 452 guests in 226 suites, all featuring private terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows that open up views of the ocean. This is the third ship in the fleet of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, after Evrima (2022) and her sister ship Ilma (2024).
The delivery ceremony
The delivery ceremony, held on June 3 at the famous shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, was attended by Ernesto Fara, President of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, and Laurent Castaing, General Manager of Chantiers de l’Atlantique. Also present were Captain Magnus Bengtsson, who will lead the ship in her inaugural season in the Mediterranean, and numerous guests from the maritime and tourism sectors. The event was sealed by the traditional changing of the flag and a toast on the ship’s panoramic deck.

Luminara represents a milestone for the Ritz-Carlton fleet
“Luminara represents a milestone for our fleet and for the entire vision of our collection,” said Fara. “Her architectural design and sophisticated interiors are the result of a passionate collaboration with one of the most esteemed shipyards in the world.” Castaing agreed, underlining: “We are proud to deliver Luminara, one year after Ilma, consolidating a partnership that aims for absolute excellence in every detail.”
Luminara will set sail for Monte Carlo
After a couple of weeks to complete the finishing touches and train the crew, Luminara will set sail for Monte Carlo, from where she will depart for her first cruise in early July. After spending the summer in the Mediterranean, she will leave at the end of October for the Indian Ocean, via South Africa, and then continue towards Asia, where she will operate until May 2026, in particular with departures from Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo, before crossing the Pacific and sailing during the summer of 2026 between Vancouver and Alaska

According to Travel and Leisure, the 794-footer will boast a wine vault, The Ritz-Carlton-branded spa, and a marina with direct sea access. It will also be home to five restaurants, six bars, swimming pools, and a gym. French shipyard Chantiers de l’Atlantique will construct the vessel. “Chantiers de l’Atlantique is very proud to design and build these medium-size – ultra-luxury cruise vessels and initiate a new partnership with The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection,” said the yard’s general manager, Laurent Castaing. “These ships will provide the highest quality standards and comfort level to their guests and simultaneously be at the forefront of environmental performances.”
