Fincantieri and Crystal Cruises Forge Partnership with MoU

Italy-based shipbuilding company Fincantieri and Cruise company Crystal Cruise Line signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for two luxurious cruise ships, keeping an option of a third unit open.

The two newbuilds will weigh 61,800 gross tons and feature deck area that will extend around the entire perimeter of the ships, similar to the CRYSTAL SYMPHONY and CRYSTAL SERENITY.

The two high-end luxurious ships will have large suites above the regular standard rooms and will accommodate 690 passengers. The cruise ships will also feature specific types of suits for solo cruisers.

In Spring 2028, the first of the two cruise ships is scheduled for delivery, and the second cruise ship date of delivery will be announced later. The third sister cruise ship is expected in 2032.

Crystal Cruise Line is a high-end luxury cruise ship brand established by Japanese shipping company NYK Group. In 2022, A&K Travel Group acquired the Crystal cruise line and purchased two ocean cruise ships namely CRYSTAL SYMPHONY and CRYSTAL SERENITY
