Together with the twin Jolly green will be the new flagship of the genvoese shipping company and will be employed between Mediterranean, Red Sea, Arab Gulf, India and Pakistan
The shipping company Ignazio Messina & C. makes another important stage of its development path by acquierd the 6,300 Teu ex Buxwave portacontainer ship so far owned by the German Reederei Nsb.
Second largest of the fleet
They therefore rise to six the portacontainer owned with the entry into service of the ship renamed Jolly Bianco, the second largest of the fleet of the shipowning group, port and logistics Ignazio Messina & C. Spa of Genoa “which confirms a particularly positive moment of development and therefore of implementation of the industrial plan launched a few months ago” informs the company.
Twin of the Jolly Verde
In the harbor of the port of Singapore has happened in the past few hours the delivery of the container ship of 2006 (it was built and delivered 18 years ago at the Romanian shipyard Daewoo Mangalia), twin of the Jolly Verde, to date the largest unit of the Messina fleet purchased and entered into service in April last.
Jolly Bianco is 283 meters long by 40 wide, armed with a crew of 23 members, 17 of them Italians including the commander Salvatore Cammareri of La Spezia.
TheĀ Red Sea
Built in 2007, the Jolly Bianco is able to transport 6,300 Teu containers and, once repositioned in the coming days in the Mediterranean, will be used on the line for the Red Sea, the Arabian Gulf, India and Pakistan; “markets these – underlines the shipping company – which are convincingly supporting their export to Italy”.
Formerly Buxwave
The ship Jolly Bianco (formerly Buxwave), the twin Jolly Verde and other three portacontainer (Buxcliff, Buxcoast and Cma Cgm Vela) are all part of a series of sales of the German company Reederei Nsb in favor of the group MSC (shareholder at 49% of Messina) finalized in the last months.
