Egypt targets $1 billion a year in yacht tourism

Egyptian yachts expert who lives between Canada and Egypt “Cairo” . ” Naguib Latif   ” is one of those involved in activating this type of tourism by bringing more yacht owners

Yachts expert Naguib Latif asserted that the bureaucracy is no longer like the previous one since the unified online yacht tourism platform is the only official platform accredited to deal with yachts by the Egyptian State, which has averted most of the problems and obstacles faced in attracting yacht tourism to Egypt.

It is noteworthy Egypt launched a yacht maximization strategy in an effort to attract more yacht owners to revive the tourist movement, especially since the average daily yacht tourist spending is 94% more than that of the average tourist and Egypt was targeting $1 billion a year of yacht tourism alone from $ 300 billion entering “Economy” of Mediterranean countries and acquires 50% of yacht tourism.

In addition to simplifying procedures and obtaining permits for the movement of yachts between Egyptian ports/tourist mirrors In addition, the accounting method has been standardized in tourist.

Green marinas

You see what Egypt has started to develop a plan forthe launch of sustainable green marinas that already represent global standards and expand the umbrella of services provided to match the world’s yacht standards?

The stakeholders are currently developing Ismaili marina to accommodate about 85 yachts instead of 10 yachts as in the past. A new green marina is being inaugurated in Ismailia and will accommodate between 75 and 85 yachts. The Suez Canal will be green by the year.

Training and rehabilitation of yacht Seafarers  Is it an obstacle to the launch of yacht tourism in Egypt?

As part of the implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi “President of the Republic” to maximize yacht tourism in Egypt and take all measures that contribute to the development of tourism investments signiflcantly, attention, the promotion of the human component and the building of technical capabilities of those important cadres in-raising the level of security and safety for workers in the yacht tourism sector.

National project for Egypt

How far can we be interested in yachting as a national project for Egypt as well as encouraging andsupporting small entrepreneurs?

The cooperation agreement between the Suez Canal Authority and the South Red Sea Arsenal Company, at the Mentor ship Building in Ismailia governotate, will allow the manufacture of tourist yachts of various models, to introduce new expertise and Aggrandizement the utilization of the Authority’s assets and resources.
