Strengthen industrial relations

The partnership demonstrates how companies and unions can work in genuine collaboration to protect workers’ rights and strengthen industrial relations. It also reinforces the ITF’s call for global standards to ensure that warehouse and logistics workers are no longer treated as invisible and disposable.

A crucial link in global supply chains

“Latin America is a crucial link in global supply chains,” said Edgar Diaz, ITF Regional Secretary for Latin America. “Through this agreement, we’re sending a clear message: warehouse and logistics workers have the right to decent work, to organise, and to be treated with dignity. Upholding human and labour rights is not optional – it’s fundamental to building just and resilient supply chains.”

The MOU complies with existing collective bargaining agreements, Mexican labour laws and international standards.
