Francesco Mastro is the new extraordinary commissioner of the Port System Authority of the Southern Adriatic Sea according to Italy Media
The formal handover took placeat the agency’s headquarters in Bari between Admiral Vincenzo Leone, who led the Adsp for a year, and the lawyer Francesco Mastro, indicated by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport as president, following an agreement with the Puglia Region, and appointed a few days ago as commissioner pending the completion of the national puzzle of appointments for the heads of the Adsp.
After the signing of the formal documents, in the presence of the Secretary General, Tito Vespasiani, the managers and some of the staff of the Institution, the Extraordinary Commissioner Mastro thanked Admiral Leone for the work carried out, extending his best wishes for a career still full of successes and for a serene personal journey.
As of today, Mastro is already working to ensure full administrative and management continuity for the Authority, ensuring the regular continuation of ongoing activities and the full operation of the ports under jurisdiction, while waiting for the Ministry to proceed with the nomination of the new president.
AdSPMAM committed to carrying forward the strategic projects already started, with the aim of strengthening the competitiveness, intermodality and sustainability of the six port infrastructures that fall within the System (Bari, Brindisi, Barletta, Monopoli, Manfredonia and Termoli).
The Southern Adriatic Port Authority will continue to operate in close collaboration with the territories, economic operators and institutions, to promote harmonious, modern and efficient port development, in line with the needs of the national and European logistics system” highlighted a note from the Authority.
