A new regular line for the maritime transport of containers from Italy to West Africa has been activated by MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company).
According to the weekly report by DynaLiners where it is reported that the Swiss global carrier has launched the new West Med to West Africa service which connects the western Mediterranean with the west coast of the African continent.
The line will be operated with six container ships with a capacity of between 1,700 and 2,800 TEU calling at the ports of Genoa (Bettolo terminal), Naples (Conateco terminal), Valencia, Las Palmas, Dakar, Tema, Lomé, Abidjan, Dakar, Las Palmas, Sete and Genoa again.
In recent months, MSC has also strengthened its intercontinental connections with West Africa, reaching a new historical record last April with the arrival of the MSC Diletta, the first container ship of the Megamax class of 24,000 TEU, in various African ports (in Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, Cosat d’Avorio and Cameroon).
