Saudi Maritime & Logistics Congress in Dammam from 18-19

The fifth edition of the Saudi Maritime & Logistics Congress represents a major shift in the port and logistics industries this year in light of a large boom in participants that may reach 10,000 participants with industry leaders and major influencers globally, reaching 65 speakers over two days, September 18-19, at the Dhahran Exhibition Center in Dammam

Saudi Maritime & Logistics Congress  announced H.E. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, is confirmed as Keynote Speaker.

The conference is the largest ideal platform for international and Arab companies in the maritime transport and logistics sectors to enter the Saudi market after the recent decisions to provide all facilities to Arab and foreign investors

Light of Saudi ports are witnessing a renaissance, which has achieved a global ranking among the world’s 100 largest ports for three of its ports, in addition to the National Strategy for Logistics Services and Vision 2030, which has made KSA the ambition of many global shipping lines and all international companies operating in these sectors

It is noteworthy that after the great success of the conference in its previous session in September 2023, which recorded a 95% increase in the number of participants over 2020, it has become, with its fifth edition, a maritime festival representing KSA in light of 70 countries participating in its activities,

An exhibition of shipping and logistics companies is held on the sidelines with its technologies and the latest technologies used in these two sectors with 200 exhibitors.

Chris Morley, CEO of Seatrade Maritime Group, the founding strategic partner and organizer of the conference, confirmed that the transportation and logistics sectors constitute important drivers for the economy of  KSA. He added that the 2023 edition of the conference witnessed the participation of more than 7,300 specialists in the sector

KSA’s victory in membership of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Council for the period 2024-2025 comes after obtaining 143 votes from the votes of member states of the organization, which enhances the roadmap according to Vision 2030 towards a strong and sustainable economy and confirms the position enjoyed by KSA, whether in the maritime or logistics sector, based on the national strategy for transport and logistics services, one of the pillars of the ambitious plans that pushed the Saudi maritime sector to a global classification.

40 million  TEU containers

It also aims by 2030 to handle 40 million TEU annually and facilitate and automate all logistical and operational procedures, whether clearance procedures, handling goods, launching logistical corridors, building the latest silos and warehouses, and activating maritime tourism movement via cruise ships and tourist transport.

The Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services has achieved many achievements, whether in ports or services Logistics and launching a service system in these two areas, such as distinguished roads according to international and secure specifications, a new version of the Logistics platform, and automatic monitoring of truck and bus violations with strict application and port communities.
