The crewmember, a Philippine national, was found dead in his cabin with a rope tied around his neck. There were no signs or marks of suspicious injuries, suggesting the incident was a suicide. However, no suicide note was found with his belongings in the cabin.

Some foul play.

The family members of the crewmember believe that there could have been other reasons for his death. The wife of the crewmember suspects that his death might have been related to work or some foul play.

According to his wife, the crewmember had been working as an electrician on various vessels for eight years. She highlighted that he was planning to sign off and return to his family for his child’s birth in November.

After the incident, the UK authorities were scheduled to conduct the post-mortem to determine the cause of the death.
