Cargo Ship JSW RAIGAD Runs Aground Off Kolaba Fort Due

A cargo ship, JSW RAIGAD, ran aground off Kolaba Fort, India. The Indian Coast Guard received a distress call from the JSW RAIGAD stating that the vessel, carrying 14 crewmembers, was stranded on the rock because of the bad weather.

Promptly, the Coast Guard coordinated with the Raigad District Administration to assist in the rescue operation. The rocky shores of Kolaba Fort made it difficult for the Coast Guard to reach the distressed vessel immediately.
