A few days ago, insurance brokerage firm Ital Brokers announced the appointment of a new CEO: Michele Corbo. This position was previously held by Daniela Tasso. With a wealth of experience in the insurance sector, Corbo is a valuable addition to Ital Brokers, where he shares his extensive knowledge from his time at Generali Group. There, he held prominent positions in the P&C sector and participated in international assignments, showcasing his leadership and expertise.
From 2017 to 2022, he was Head of the P&C Area of Generali Italia. From 2022 to 2024, he was CEO of Tua Assicurazioni (Cattolica Group). Since then, he has been a member of the Non-Life CInsO board of Generali Polska. Most recently, he served as Head of Institutional Investor Engagement Italy at Assicurazioni Generali. “His career is distinguished by solid technical expertise in the P&C business, combined with significant experience in the industrial management of insurance companies, international governance, and institutional relations”, explained a statement from the Genoa-based brokerage house.

Ital Brokers has confirmed the solidity of its business model and the quality of its client relationships with a 15.1% increase in core net revenues and a 36.8% increase in adjusted EBITDA in 2025. The company explained that "the appointment is part of a significant growth phase for Ital Brokers".
"Michele Corbo's appointment is in line with our business plan and the vision that guides Ital Brokers," said Luca Garella, President of Ital Brokers. 'In an increasingly complex and unpredictable market, our priority is to be a solid, competent and innovative point of reference for our clients.
Renewing my commitment to this appointment, I recognise that what sets us apart as a broker is not only our technical proficiency, but also our capacity to devise innovative solutions to emerging challenges. Corbo's experience in industrial management and risk governance will further strengthen this trajectory while maintaining the core values of our identity: independence, excellence and client-centricity.'
"Those who join Ital Brokers today are choosing to commit to a bold and ambitious business project," commented Corbo. 'What convinced me was the consistency between the company's values and the market challenges we face, such as clients needing a truly independent advisor who can understand the complexity of risks and respond with innovative, tailored solutions. The client will always be at the centre of every decision, and we will invest in skills, processes and technologies to make this capability stronger. For us, innovation is not an abstract goal, but a concrete tool with which we intend to make a difference.'
