Sallaum Lines has begun registering its vessels under the Cyprus flag, marking a key milestone in the company’s strategic move to Cyprus. Ocean Breeze and Ocean Legacy are now officially Cyprus-flagged vessels. Over the course of the year, Ocean Express and Ocean Navigator will also be added to the Cyprus registry, further strengthening fleet alignment under a respected and internationally recognized flag.
The move reflects Sallaum Lines’ focus on operational efficiency, regulatory consistency, and long-term growth. Cyprus is one of the world’s leading maritime jurisdictions, offering a strong regulatory framework and a mature shipping ecosystem that supports high operational standards.
At the core of Sallaum Lines’ fleet development strategy are its Ocean Class 7,500 CEU LNG Dual-Fuel (DF) vessels, designed to deliver significant gains in fuel efficiency and environmental performance.
These next-generation vessels are capable of operating on LNG, resulting in substantial reductions in CO₂ emissions, NOₓ, SOₓ, and particulate matter compared to conventional fuel oil propulsion. The Ocean Class design enables meaningful fuel consumption savings, improved energy efficiency, and reduced operating costs, while ensuring full compliance with current and forthcoming international environmental regulations
By investing in LNG dual-fuel technology and high-capacity, optimized vessel design, Sallaum Lines continues to strengthen its commitment to sustainable shipping, operational reliability, and long-term value creation for customers and partners.

Sallaum Lines, a major international shipping company specialising in Roll-on/Roll-off (RoRo) transport, moving vehicles and project cargo, has announced the relocation of its headquarters from Switzerland to Limassol, Cyprus. According to an official statement, the move reflects the company’s long-term growth vision and its commitment to strengthening its presence within the European maritime world.
As mentioned in the statement, Cyprus, known as one of the world’s top global shipping centres and the largest shipping management hub in Europe, provides an established and supportive environment for maritime businesses. Against this backdrop, the relocation positions Sallaum Lines closer to key European markets, regulatory frameworks and maritime stakeholders.
,The corporate headquarters transition comes during a phase of growth and expansion for Sallaum Lines. This is reflected in major capital commitments and fleet modernisation initiatives, including six new PCTC dual-fuel vessels currently on order, alongside a €20 million investment at its terminal in Antwerp, Belgium.
