ACTV is seeking a second-hand ferry—a ropax or ferryboat—to add to its fleet, with a value of up to €8 million. The company, a subsidiary of AVM that provides local public transport in Venice and Chioggia, has launched a negotiated procedure to secure a bidirectional vessel, to be used for passenger and vehicle transport within the Venice lagoon. The vessel must be built no later than 2015, have an overall length of between 70 and 80 meters, a maximum width of 16.5 meters, and be capable of traveling at a continuous speed of over 11 knots.

Other requirements include a clear height of the interdeck garage (greater than 4.2 meters) and a maximum draft (less than 2.7 meters). The tender also specifies that the vessel must be delivered – in Venice – with "a reflag and class change already completed; a hull inspection with thickness measurement, and a five-year class certificate ready." The deadline for submitting applications is December 15, 2025, after which, as mentioned, ACTV will initiate a negotiated procedure with the interested parties.
