Ship christening ceremony Gaslog Italy of Greek shipping fleet

It is the first of four LNG carriers of 174,000 cubic meters that the Greek shipping company will take delivery in the two-year period 2024 – 2025

Ilaria Azzimonti, Head of LNG Portfolio of Eni Spa, was the godmother of the ceremony of christening of the new ship Gaslog Italy that will soon become part of the fleet of the Greek shipping company led by the CEO Paolo Enoizi.Shipping Italy reported

Shipyard in Geoje

The celebration took place at the South Korean Hanwha Ocean shipyard in Geoje, which built it, contributing to the renovation of Gaslog’s fleet. The actual delivery will take place on August 23rd.

Four Lang carriers

This gascass ship is one of the four Lang carriers under construction at the same shipyard and each will have a transport capacity of 174,000 cubic meters, length of 295 meters and width of 46; the propulsion is guaranteed by two HP-2S MEGI engines.

The entry into the market of these new constructions is spread over the two-year period 2024 – 2025.

The order for these four new gas tankers had been signed by Gaslog in 2021.
