Finally,Fleet Management announcing a very well-known name to take over the reins from founder, Kishore Rajvanshy.
Captain Rajalingam Subramaniam, the former president and group CEO of Malaysian flagship MISC, will become Fleet’s CEO on October 21, amidst planned 30th anniversary celebrations at the world’s second-largest third-party shipmanagement company.
Global industry leader
A trained maritime professional and an accomplished global industry leader, Captain Rajalingam holds a Post-Graduate MBA in addition to a Master’s Foreign Going Certificate from the Ministry of Transport Malaysia. He is a Member of INSEAD alumni and has attended several Executive Programmes in Finance and Management at INSEAD, Fontainebleau.

Captain Raja
Rajalingam – known in local shipping circles as Captain Raja – will report to Harry Banga, chairman and CEO of the Caravel Group, Fleet’s parent. Rajvanshy, 76, will take on the role of managing director emeritus and remain as a non-executive director in a senior advisory role. Angad Banga will continue to serve as the group’s chief operating officer.
Harry Banga described today Rajvanshy’s leadership as the “bedrock” of Fleet’s success over the past 30 years, while his successor, Subramaniam, vowed, “to innovate and uphold the highest standards in the maritime industry”.
