ISA Yachts presents the Blade 70, a new project that marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration with Lobanov Design. Led by Igor Lobanov, the studio is renowned for its sculptural and highly distinctive approach to contemporary yacht design.
Giuseppe Palumbo, Sole Director of Palumbo Superyachts, commented on the matter: "The ISA Blade 70 meters represents a new interpretation of the ISA Yachts DNA and is a project of significant strategic value. Our collaboration with Lobanov Design is rooted in our shared vision of strong design, identity, and innovation. This yacht is just the beginning. Together with the studio, we are developing an even larger superyacht.”
The ISA Blade 70-meter was designed with the ambition of creating the most elegant and recognizable yacht in the Grand Sport segment, a category defined by fast, sporty yachts with vertical or near-vertical bows. The Blade project stands out for its deep exploration of personality and formal identity, drawing inspiration from elegant ships designed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The slightly reversed and concave bow is one of the defining elements of this superyacht. Decorative stainless-steel details enrich its appearance, while the anchor niche is fully integrated and concealed. The custom-designed fairleads contribute to the clean, refined, and highly sophisticated aesthetic.
The entire yacht is designed as one continuous sculpture with uninterrupted, fluid lines that flow seamlessly from bow to stern. The hull graphics are intentionally hidden and integrated into the volume. The glazing features glass panels with dotted films and an unexpected black insert positioned forward, close to the waterline. This creates a strong, distinctive graphic accent. The superstructure consists entirely of glass panels and black-painted surfaces, topped by a subtle, dynamic curve that evokes speed and motion.
The exterior design is further enhanced by unique elements, such as recessed teak inserts and custom fender details. The transforming aft garage/beach club door becomes a wooden bench overlooking the sea when closed, expanding the yacht’s outdoor living experience.
The interior layout reflects the owner’s vision. The master suite is located aft on the upper deck and offers a private terrace with views of the open sea.
The 70-meter ISA Blade has a gross tonnage of 1,300 GT and features a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure. Powered by two MTU 12V4000 M53L engines, each delivering 1,771 kW, she can reach a maximum speed of 17.5 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots. At cruising speed, the yacht has a range of approximately 5,000 nautical miles.
