Admiral Osama Rabie, chairman of the Suez Canal Authority SCA , stated that navigation through the canal is operating normally in both directions. He emphasized that the canal continues to provide its navigational services around the clock.
Rabie added that today, Tuesday, the Suez Canal is witnessing the passage of 56 ships from both directions, with a total net tonnage of 2.6 million tons. Twenty-four ships from the north convoy are passing through with a total net tonnage of one million tons, and 32 ships from the south convoy are passing through with a total net tonnage of 1.6 million tons.

The chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) pointed out that the announcement by some major shipping lines to suspend passage through the Suez Canal is temporary and dependent on the security situation in the region. He stressed that the Suez Canal continues to communicate with all clients and shipping lines to coordinate and ensure the movement of global trade and the sustainability of supply chains.

Admiral Rabie expressed his hope that the coming period would witness a breakthrough in the security situation, given its fundamental impact on freedom of navigation in the region. Notably, 100 ships with a total net tonnage of 3.8 million tons passed through the canal during the past three days.

Official spokesperson for the Suez Canal Authority. George Safwat , stated
