Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore (BV) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Seatrium Technology & Innovation (Seatrium) to explore strategic cooperation on advanced engineering, technology, and new product design for the marine and offshore sector.
The collaboration will focus on supporting the development of innovative, sustainable energy solutions and digital economy solutions, helping accelerate the delivery of safe, efficient, and future-ready assets for global markets
Under the MoU, BV will provide technical guidance, compliance support, and independent verification services to assist STI in navigating complex technical requirements, regulatory frameworks, and applicable international standards. The partnership is also intended to support selected concepts through Approval in Principle (AiP), technology qualification program, product line optimization, manufacturing readiness, and type approval strategies.

In addition, the cooperation will promote knowledge-sharing through collaborative workshops, technical briefings, and training sessions, helping to build capabilities and accelerate the maturity of emerging technologies.
The partnership brings together Seatrium’s expertise in offshore engineering, platform design, and technology development with BV’s long-standing leadership in classification, certification, and risk management for marine and offshore assets. Through this collaboration, both parties aim to enable commercially viable, technically robust, and scalable solutions that support the evolving needs of the offshore, marine, and wider industrial sectors.
