His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, as well as Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, visited Jebel Ali Port, which DP World operates. He reviewed operations, met the teams keeping regional trade flowing, and saw firsthand the multimodal investments strengthening regional trade infrastructure.
While visiting, His Highness received a briefing on the port’s operational performance and multimodal logistics capabilities, particularly over the past two months. His Highness praised the teams at Jebel Ali Port for their outstanding achievements and consistent efforts to maintain high levels of operational excellence and ensure the seamless movement of trade through one of the world's leading maritime logistics gateways.

"It is Dubai's long-term vision, advanced infrastructure, and ability to connect markets across continents that have shaped its leading position in global trade. Jebel Ali Port has been at the centre of a continuing success story for almost fifty years. The port plays a vital role in linking regional and international supply chains and making sure that trade can continue at all times. We commend DP World for its contribution to the UAE and Dubai’s vision of a strong and sustainable economic future that promotes prosperity and wellbeing around the world,” he said.

“As trade networks continue to evolve, Dubai remains focused on expanding multimodal connectivity and investing in resilient infrastructure to enhance supply chain efficiency, support global commerce, and strengthen the emirate’s position as a leading international platform for trade and economic exchange,” he added.
Jebel Ali Port is the linchpin of trade in the Middle East and plays a vital role in the UAE’s economic landscape. As well as serving as a gateway, Jebel Ali is a strategic base for manufacturing, logistics, distribution, and value-added services. It supports and connects 12,000 companies to regional and global markets.
On the other hand, His Excellency Essa Kazim, Chairman of DP World, said: ‘Businesses and economies that thrive in today’s evolving economic environment are those built on diversified, resilient infrastructure. What DP World has built over nearly 50 years — the trade and industrial ecosystem around Jebel Ali Port, the customer relationships developed over generations, and the global network and expertise spanning six continents — is what has established it as the region’s most trusted trade gateway. This has been built on decades of unmatched experience.
DP World handled nearly 200,000 TEU through Jebel Ali Port’s regional overland truck and rail corridors over the past two months, as Dubai reviewed new multimodal capacity at the Middle East’s largest port, according to DP World.
