On Wednesday (June 24), Singapore's port was named the best in the world at the Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards 2026. The annual awards are organised by Asia Cargo News, a fortnightly logistics and supply chains publication, to recognise leading logistics and supply chain service providers.
On Thursday, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) announced that the Port of Singapore has been named "Best Global Seaport" for the fifth time. MPA chief executive Ang Wee Keong said the award reflects the collective efforts of the entire maritime community in strengthening Singapore's position as a leading global hub port.
"As supply chains evolve and new challenges emerge, we will continue to invest in innovation, infrastructure, and talent to keep Singapore resilient, connected, and future-ready," he added. According to AFLAS, winners are determined from over 15,000 readers who nominate and vote across 49 award categories

Meanwhile, PSA International also came out top in three categories, and was named "Best Global Container Terminal Operator", "Best Container Terminal - Asia", and "Best Container Terminal - Europe".
PSA International Group CEO, Ong Kim Pong, said, “These honours are deeply humbling and affirm the dedication and perseverance of our staff, unions and management in advancing PSA Group’s Node-to-Network strategy across our global port ecosystems and supply chain network to enhance trade connectivity amid ongoing trade disruptions. I am also very grateful to our customers, partners and stakeholders, whose continued confidence and partnership have made this recognition possible. Their steadfast support will continue to reinforce our commitment to powering global trade flows, as we expand our network of port ecosystems, leveraging digital innovation to create sustainable value through responsible stewardship.”

MPA was established in 1996 with the mission to develop Singapore as a global hub port and international maritime centre, and to advance and safeguard Singapore’s strategic maritime interests. MPA takes on multiple roles as Singapore’s maritime and port regulator and planner, international maritime centre champion, national maritime representative, and champion of maritime digitalisation and decarbonisation efforts. MPA partners with the industry, research community and other agencies to enhance safety, security and environmental protection, facilitate maritime and port operations and growth, expand multi-domain capabilities, and support the cluster of maritime services and manpower development.
The Port of Singapore comprises several facilities and terminals that handle a wide range of cargo transported in different forms, including containers as well as conventional and bulk cargo. MPA is responsible for the overall development and growth of the port of Singapore, which includes terminal operators, such as PSA Corporation and Jurong Port Pte Ltd.
