Lucia Cosulich flagged Singapore, a small tanker designed for transporting methanol, which entered service on 12 July.

Fratelli Cosulich Marine Energy celebrated the official delivery of the Lucia Cosulich at the Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipyard in China today. The Group developed the vessel as the second of four sister methanol-ready IMO II bunker tankers within the fleet expansion programme, following the launching ceremony held on 2 May 2026.

The Lucia Cosulich (IMO 1108586, MMSI 563337600 -sailing under the flag of Singapore ) ( The vessel is en route to ARP, SGP, sailing at a speed of 9.8 knots and expected to arrive there on Jul 12, 01:00 )  has been designed to support the Group's bunkering operations and future fuel requirements. It is part of a new generation of vessels developed by Fratelli Cosulich Marine Energy to combine operational reliability, safety and fuel flexibility.

The continued collaboration between the project team

The continued collaboration between the project team, shipyard partners and all parties involved throughout the construction and completion process is reflected in the delivery. The final preparation phase will now be entered by Lucia Cosulich ahead of her next operational steps, with the Group's ability to provide reliable bunkering solutions being further strengthened as a result.

About: Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding

Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. is a private company which locates in Yongquan, Linhai, Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province.MLSC was founded in December 2005, and its main business scope is shipbuilding. The area of the yard is about 340,000 square meters. It possesses a coastline of 1.5 kilometers, one outfitting quay of 260-meters, one slipway of 30,000 tons, and two slipways of 50,000 tons. It also has an NC workshop, a processing workshop, a block workshop, an assembly platform (abt. 20,000 square meters), four painting houses with sophisticated spraying equipment (equipped strictly by PSPC rules), and the maximum lifting capacity of the slipway is 400 tons. 

The total investment has already reached RMB 600 million. The yard currently has around 3000 staff. Among them, there are 85 senior qualified engineers and 140 technicians. MLSC has a subsidiary company, which is Yezhi Machinery Co., Ltd., it's main business scope is the production of corollary equipment for shipbuilding enterprises, such as hatch covers, outfitting, precision machining of shafting, etc
