France, GEODIS has signed a firm order for 110 44-tonne electric trucks intended for its European road transport operations, with delivery expected by May 2027. This order illustrates GEODIS's commitment to accelerating the electrification of its fleet.
It is noteworthy that GEODIS, a world leader in transport and logistics, announces the acquisition of 110 electric trucks for its European road transport operations. This order of 44-ton heavy-duty trucks developed by Renault Trucks and Volvo Trucks will be delivered by May 2027. These new trucks will be dedicated to transport operations in France, both for urban deliveries and long-distance transport. The GEODIS European Road Network activity electric truck fleet will reach 190 vehicles.
Marc Vollet, Managing Director of the European Road Network at GEODIS, stated that the arrival of these new electric vehicles is part of a global decarbonisation strategy that meets the expectations of our clients. This is a significant investment for GEODIS in terms of both fleet and infrastructure, and demonstrates our commitment to electrifying our fleet and reducing our CO₂ emissions in line with the Science Based Target initiative.
On the other hand, GEODIS takes a new step in its growth strategy with the planned acquisition of part of the transport and logistics activities of the Deret Group, a leading player in contract logistics in France. This acquisition is part of GEODIS’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the French logistics market, capitalizing on the complementary geographic and operational footprints of the two groups.

Deret Logistique and Deret Transporteur, along with their subsidiaries Sogipac, Logtex, and Deret Services Numériques, are all part of the acquisition. It also includes some of the logistics real estate assets of Deret SAS. These companies comprise 13 transport agencies and 28 logistics sites. A total of 2,400 people are employed by Deret SAS.
