Disney Cruise Line held the christening and naming ceremony for its new cruise ship, DISNEY DESTINY, on the evening of November 10, 2025, at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which will serve as the vessel’s year-round homeport, the company said in a news release.

A Wish-class, also referenced as Triton-class
DISNEY DESTINY is a Wish-class, also referenced as Triton-class, ship built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany, and was handed over to Disney Cruise Line in October 2025. It is powered by liquefied natural gas and is the company’s third LNG-fueled vessel after Disney Wish and Disney Treasure. The ship measures roughly 340 meters in length and 39 meters in beam, has a gross tonnage of about 144,000 GT and capacity for up to 4,000 passengers, entering the fleet as its seventh ship.  

DISNEY DESTINY’s maiden voyage 
DISNEY DESTINY’s maiden voyage is scheduled for November 20, 2025. The ship will operate four- and five-night itineraries from Port Everglades to The Bahamas and the Western Caribbean with calls at Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

Mythical adventures await families aboard the DISNEY DESTINY, where iconic Disney, Pixar and Marvel heroes and villains come to life. Exclusive to the DISNEY DESTINY is Disney Hercules. Larger-than-life characters, spirited comedy and legendary music from Walt Disney Animation Studios are brought to the stage. Fun and action can also be found on the upper deck, where there are ten pools and water play areas. Several imaginative restaurants are available on board, including the ‘Pride Lands’, where singers and dancers perform a musical retelling of ‘The Lion King’ during dinner.
