SAL Saudi Logistics Services Co. signed an agreement with FedEx Express Saudi Arabia to provide comprehensive support services for the ground handling of express shipments and integrated logistics operations.
In a statement to Tadawul, the company pointed out that no value was set for the contract as the services are paid for on demand and in accordance with the prices specified in the agreement. Under the deal, SAL will manage the operation of ground handling shipments for FedEx, including ramp services, operational support, and the offering of suitable storage spaces to meet client needs. The one-year deal is renewable and involved no related parties, the statement added, indicating that the company expects a positive impact on its financial results over the duration of the agreement.

In this context, Mr. Omar bin Talal Hariri, CEO of SAL, expressed his delight at signing this agreement with FedEx, which represents a significant step towards enhancing and developing express mail services in the Kingdom. He added, "SAL's ground handling capabilities will complement FedEx's investments in improving operational efficiency and ensuring high speed and reliability that meet FedEx's requirements, thus strengthening its position as a world-class logistics provider that contributes to achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030."
For his part, Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Mubarak, Managing Director of FedEx Operations for the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent, and Africa, stated, "At FedEx, we are committed to providing comprehensive and efficient shipping solutions for our customers in the Kingdom, and we are proud of this agreement, which will enable us to strengthen our direct presence in the Saudi market and develop our operations according to the highest international standards to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers."
