Tarek Sakhraoui, born in Algeria on May 19, 1983, is a renowned caricature artist working for the print newspaper Algeria Al-Ghad. He is also a prominent contributor to the international cultural magazine Wamdat Amal, currently based in France. Tarek has extensive experience in the field of caricature and serves as a national and international judge for caricature competitions.

In 2023, he launched and directed the International Caricature Competition in Algeria, further solidifying his position as a pioneer of this art in the country. He is considered one of Algeria’s most distinguished caricature artists, having won first place nationally in Algeria’s caricature competition in 2019 and 2022, showcasing his exceptional talent and continuous creativity.
Additionally, Tarek has received numerous international awards, including special and honorary prizes, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to caricature art. He is regarded as a role model for young artists, representing Algerian creativity on the international stage through his caricatures, which humorously and critically address social and cultural issues.
