Pino Musolino, the new CEO of Alilauro (with over 70 years of experience in maritime transport.) who recently resigned as extraordinary commissioner of the Civitavecchia Port Authority after serving as president for four years, following his experience at the helm of the Northern Adriatic Sea Port Authority, has been appointed as the new CEO. Since February 2023, he has been president of MedPorts, the association representing European, North African, and Middle Eastern Mediterranean ports.

Born in Venice, he graduated in Law from the University of Bologna, specializing in Navigation Law, and holds a Master’s degree in International Commercial and Maritime Law from the University of Wales. He has over twenty years of experience in international shipping, having worked extensively in Antwerp and Singapore, both in private consulting and services firms and in-house for shipping companies. He teaches Sustainable Economics at the University of Tuscia, according to a statement.
Musolino succeeds Eliseo Cuccaro, who has been CEO of Alilauro since 2022 and is currently president of the Port Authority of Naples and Salerno: “The entire board of directors and the company’s staff extend their thanks to him, deeply appreciating his contribution in terms of professionalism and dedication, which has translated into significant results.
At the same time, Antonio Amato, 40, president of the Young Entrepreneurs Group of the Naples Industrial Union, who has always been active in the nautical industry, joins the board of directors. He is an entrepreneur with extensive experience in various sectors, including commerce, software development, and nautical engineering, and holds a degree in business administration and banking. Dr. Wladimiro De Nunzio will remain president of Alilauro,” the Alilauro statement continued.

Alilauro is a major Italian ferry company, established in 1944, specializing in fast passenger connections across Southern Italy, particularly serving popular destinations like the Gulf of Naples, Amalfi Coast, Capri, Ischia, and the Aeolian Islands. They use modern hydrofoils and ferries, offering quick, comfortable travel for foot passengers between coastal towns and islands, with services including family-friendly amenities and accessibility features.
