From 4 May, Maersk will open a new SLA service linking the Mediterranean and the Baltic. The 2,824 TEU SINE A (IMO 9343089, MMSI - sailing under the flag of Malta ) is scheduled to depart from Tanger Med for the inaugural sailing, according to Maersk’s vessel schedule. The rotation will follow a fixed route via Tanger Med, Gdansk, Bremerhaven, Vado Ligure, Port Said, and Alexandria before returning to Tanger Med, establishing a direct shortsea bridge between Mediterranean transhipment hubs and North European and Baltic gateways.
The 35-day round voyage service will deploy five ships ranging from 2,800 to 5,000 TEU, suggesting an increase in capacity on intra-European lanes. The vessel is scheduled to arrive at Port Tangier Mediterranee on 4 May, aligning with the planned start window as shown in the SINE A schedule.

This addition provides a defined Med–Baltic connection as carriers continue to recalibrate feeder and regional networks, strengthening the links between transhipment nodes and northern gateway ports.
