Scott has more than 30 years of experience working in ports, including across marine terminals, transportation, logistics, and industrial operations

The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority announced the appointment of Jeff Scott, ICD.D, as the new Vice President, Operations and Supply Chain, effective June 1. With more than 30 years of experience across ports, terminals, transportation, logistics, and industrial operations, Jeff brings extensive leadership experience and deep knowledge of Canada’s supply chain and maritime sectors. 

More than 30 years of experience working in ports

Scott has more than 30 years of experience working in ports, including across marine terminals, transportation, logistics, and industrial operations. Most recently, he served as board chair and interim president of Fibreco Exports, and president and CEO for trucking company Coastal Pacific Xpress. At Coastal Xpress, he oversaw a strategy focused on renewal, growth, and long-term success as the business prepared to be sold. He has also previously served as president and CEO of Port of Vancouver terminal Fraser Surrey Docks, leading the terminal’s diversification into the handling of bulk products and overseeing its successful sale to current operator DP World.

Scott’s extensive industry leadership

Scott’s extensive industry leadership experience includes serving as deputy secretary for the General Stevedoring Council, chair of the Fraser River Industrial Association, and chair of the BC Maritime Employers Association. He is actively involved in supporting his community, including volunteering his time and serving as Chair of Options Community Services.  

Scott holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia, a Diploma in Shipping and Marine Operations from BCIT, and an Institute of Corporate Directors designation from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
