Costa Crociere has presented the Giro del Mondo 2028, a 139-day cruise designed for those who want to experience the true essence of the planet. The Costa Deliziosa will traverse five continents and three oceans, allowing passengers to take in the sights and changes in light and culture at a relaxed pace
The journey will commence in Savona on 25 November 2027, making stops at 51 locations across 29 countries, including 21 islands. Guests will be able to experience the new destinations in depth thanks to the long and exclusive 'overland' excursions, which allow them to leave the ship and enter the pulsating heart of the territory.

Among the special moments on offer are New Year's Eve in Los Angeles and privileged access to Celebration Key, the new tropical pearl of the Bahamas, to which guests will have access for the first time
The Mediterranean has been seen by us and the Atlantic has been crossed it, so the symbolism of North America will be followed by us, with the monumental streets of New York and the landscapes of California being taken in before the Pacific is reached. Hawaii, with its volcanic crater in Hilo and the magnetic energy of Honolulu, will prepare us for the esoteric atmosphere of Fiji and Samoa. Next, we will explore New Zealand, an immense natural cinematic set with rolling hills and lush green fields. Australia welcomes travellers with the creative vitality of Melbourne. I will then spend two days in Sydney, taking in the unmistakable profile of the Opera House.
The cruise's passage to Asia strikes a note, signalling a change of atmosphere with the modernity of Tokyo, where the ship remains for two days. This city surprises with its perfect balance between avant-garde and tradition, as well as the spiritual silence of its temples, futuristic districts and hidden gardens
After stops in Japan and South Korea, the journey continues to Hong Kong, then on through the Malaysian rainforest to the beaches of Phuket in Thailand. Next, travellers will experience the Indian Ocean, with its stops in Sri Lanka and the Maldives, where the water is completely transparent. Finally, the journey will end in Mauritius, with its emerald green mountains and Creole culture. The journey concludes with the majesty of Table Mountain and the lagoons of Namibia before returning along the European coast. Passing through the Canary Islands, Barcelona and Marseille, the cruise concludes in Savona.
In addition to the 139-day cruise, the company also offers the option of heading to San Francisco for a one-centro-giorni segment, linking Oceania and Asia until Savona at the end of April 2028.
